Austin Half Marathon 2007

Well, the snow hit Tuesday morning, and it was fairly crappy the rest of the week, so did not get to run anymore until the Austin half marathon on Sunday. On top of that, got a bit of a cold which did not help matters. I was wanting to run a 10 min/mile pace for the half marathon, but the course was a lot hillier than I expected, and with not feeling 100% I just did not feel like pushing it too much. Around mile 12 or so there was one last big hill that I decided to walk up, I was pretty pooped at that point. My time was 2:18:19, 10:34 pace, so not too much slower. Splits of 11:11, 10:21, 10:39, 9:41, 9:33, 9:22, 10:20, 10:16, 10:17, 10:26, 10:38, 11:05 and 11:25 (forgot to stop the garmin for the last split), AHR of 170. I was 3029 of 5136 finishers, 1599 of 2128 men.
